How to defeat Brisbane Roar: The Answer

Whilst Brisbane Roar now hold the record for the greatest unbeaten streak in Australian sporting history, they haven't yet played The Football Sack's finest eleven. How would we defeat Brisbane Roar? Our starting eleven had a few spare moments yesterday to jot down the definitive answer as to how they would proceed.

Smaller and younger than Terry Antonis, Collard is a part of every Sack attack... 


Three at the back, with two wing backs. The key to the Roar’s game, which is revolutionising football in Australia, is built on the foundation of their wingers making inside runs, with their fullbacks making overlapping runs into the opened up space.

Three at the back allows our center-half to concentrate on Brisbane’s lone striker, while the other two center backs cover the wingers. Then our wing backs can mark Brisbane’s fullbacks, eliminating the space they create out wide.

Brisbane have proved recently that they’re a little vulnerable on the counter if their space is plugged. With this formation, there is plenty of attacking options for The Football Sack to hit them on the counter. Our wing backs provide the width, allowing for a midfield diamond and a lone striker.
